Claire studied a Foundation course, at Bournemouth College of Art and Design, specializing in textile design. Furthering her studies at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, she completed both a BA (Hons) and an MA in textile design, graduating in 2003.

No longer working solely with textiles, she has found a passion for painting and experimenting with other techniques such as mono printing.

Colour, texture, and pattern have always inspired Claire acting as a catalyst for her work taken from natural forms.

Claire also draws inspiration from architecture, changing it into an almost organic structure itself, breaking it down into a more abstracted form.
